The Western Health and Social Care Trust is seeking talented, highly motivated doctors across a range of specialties.

A total of 50 posts, at various levels for both permanent and fixed term positions, are currently being recruited by the Trust. The Western Trust provides a full range of medical services in acute hospitals, psychiatric hospitals and community settings, as expected in an NHS district general hospital. The Western Trust employs approximately 12,000 staff and spends �600 million annually in the delivery of health and social care services.

Older People�s Mental Health: Consultants and Specialty Doctors in Old Age Psychiatry

Radiology: Consultants and Specialty Doctors

Emergency Medicine: Consultants and Specialty Doctors

Anaesthetics: Specialty Doctors

Urology: Consultants and Specialty Doctors

Surgery: Junior Doctors

Obstetrics & Gynaecology: Specialty Doctors

Paediatrics: Speciality Doctors and Junior Doctors

The Trust provides a full range of services from two acute hospitals, Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry and South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen and psychiatric services from Gransha Hospital and Tyrone and Fermanagh Hospital. The Trust has close links with Queen�s University Belfast and Ulster University and has teaching hospital status on both Acute Hospital sites. It also hosts Northern Ireland�s only purpose built clinical research facility (C-TRIC). This is a very exciting time for the Trust as it introduces a new cross-border radiotherapy unit at Altnagelvin Hospital.

Londonderry is the second-largest city in Northern Ireland. It is serviced by City of Derry Airport and has excellent road networks. The city has a full range of top quality academic institutions, from primary schools through to higher and further education. There is a university campus at Magee college, part of the multi-site Ulster University.

The South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen opened in June 2012 and has up to 312 in-patient and day case beds.

Enniskillen, in County Fermanagh, is situated at the intersection of Upper and Lower Lough Erne. Enniskillen is a retail centre for the County and beyond, and a lively hub of activities throughout the year.
